TASTY CREPES AND LONDON OOTD

Thursday 1 May 2014

I've got 4 days off this week (because I'm working lots of hours next week) so I want to make the most of it. Yesterday I went to see the Paul O'Grady show being filmed - my mum didn't have anyone to go with so I volunteered. It was actually pretty cool seeing it filmed. The cameras they use are stunning! It's airing on Friday so watch it if you fancy seeing whether my face appears at any point in the studio audience. I enjoyed another day out around the South Bank after the filming was done and I even managed some 'outfit of the day' shots. Stay tuned (or reading)...

Whilst waiting for the show to start, we found an amazing place in Southwark for a bite to eat. It's near the ITV studios - there are lots of little shops and the House of Crepes Cafe. I never knew this place existed but I'm so glad I found it. The crepe I had was amazing! I had one with Nutella, Banana and Whipped Cream - so yummy! It was a very naughty brunch but I loved every bite. I even convinced the women sitting next to me to buy one because it was that good.

Google the cafe, and if you're ever in the area you should definitely pop in. No, I'm not advertising for them (I may as well be haha), their crepes are just too good to not be experienced!

After the filming I headed to the South Bank for some Fish and Chips and a nice background for some OOTD shots. The tube strike was on but it was still so busy with tourists. I wanted a ice cream but I thought that might be a little much after the crepe. What can I say, my sweet tooth is very sweeeet.

Hopefully I'll be going to see Bailey's Stardust at the National Portrait Gallery on Saturday. I'll tell you all about it next week! :)

  1. Oh I love that little area on the Southbank, although I always end up getting lured in by Pieminister because I can't say no to a pie.

  2. I've walked past that little area near the Studios so many times but never explored what's actually down there. I love creeps so I think I've been missing out.

I used to spend a lot of my youth at those studios. We'd quite often get tickets to see CD:UK being filmed on a Saturday morning, looking back now it was pretty amazing cos we saw some pretty amazing people up very close!

In a way I love London during a tube strike, it's lovely to see so many people out and about walking. The only problem is getting into work! I used to live in zone 3 so walking to work during a strike was not an option!

    1. Aww! That's really cool, I used to love CD:UK!

I'm the complete opposite - I hate London during a tube strike. Literally cannot get anywhere without walking for miles. Although it's good on a beautiful day x

  4. Lovely photos Cally! That crepe sounds like absolute H.E.A.V.E.N (for the record I probably would have caved and had the ice cream too!) and Fish and Chips sound like such a treat. Love the OOTD photos too! Very Londoner-eqsue! I do love the first - you look so unimpressed with something!
