REVIEW | L'OREAL LA PALETTE NUDE ROSE (NAKED DUPE?)

L'Oréal Paris La Palette Nude
Nude palettes have taken the beauty world by storm after the release of Urban Decay's Naked 1/2/3 palettes. Not everyone can afford these more expensive offerings, and have been waiting years for the drugstore to finally catch up. Finally L'Oreal released their own eye shadow palette, featuring 10 shades: 6 shimmers and 4 mattes.

As soon as I saw photos of this palette I knew I wanted it. It offers your usual nude/brown toned shades but the darker shadows (like the purple) aren't your bog standard matte blacks and grey. The pinks are the overriding shades here, as the name 'Rose' would indicate. Don't let that put you off though - the entire palette is very wearable.

Priced at £14.99, L'Oreal La Palette Nude is great for what you pay for. I've heard a lot about the formula of these, with many preferring the shimmers to the mattes but I've not encountered this problem. As long as you use the mattes in the crease, with the shimmer all over the lid, you won't have any issues. The shades I've been reaching for the most are the 5th and 4th from the right.

Pros

  • Price - you get a lot for what you pay for
  • The shades on offer: 6 shimmers and 4 mattes
  • Packaging, offering a big mirror and it secures well

Cons

  • The brush is a bit naff
  • Not as pigmented as some other shadows I've used

Overall, I absolutely love this palette. It would be a great gift for anyone this Christmas, and is wonderful for travelling with.

Do you like the look of this palette?

  2. I don't mind the brush sucking as I use my own anyway so I am definitely intrigued to give these beautiful colours a go xxx
