ARM CANDY | WRIST ADDITION

Saturday 19 October 2013

The title of this post is a little misleading; this isn't about having a cute man on your arm, although it doesn't hurt to have one! I'm talking about the forgotten area of accessories - the wrist. I always wear necklaces and rings but I always seem to leave my wrist bare. So I thought I'd showcase the typical items I wear in the hope I'll begin to buy more arm candy.

(Also, referring to a man as arm candy is a little cheesy - I hope you know I don't refer to men as accessories!)

This is perhaps my favourite bracelet, I bought it from New Look about a year or two ago. I'm a big fan of the ring/bracelet combo because it doesn't require much effort in the way of finding a ring to match your bracelet - it's all there for you!

If you'd like one similar to this, ASOS have one on sale right now -

Pilgrim Gold Bracelet and Ring Chain, £18

The next arm candy is a gorgeous Casio watch from The Watch Hut*. My watch recently broke so I was on the lookout for a new watch that was a little bit more sophisticated than my last one.

This watch is on sale at the moment for £13.75 so I'd definitely recommend it. I sometimes struggle with telling the time, it can take me quite a while (embarrassingly) but this watch is just what I need! It's a mini watch so it's not too chunky for your wrist, and you can fasten it to fit perfectly. It's burgundy and silver and will look great with other bracelets. I teamed it with one of my favourite rings from Republic, which was on sale for £2 last December.

The burgundy watch face is my favourite part of this watch.

I don't think you're ever too old to wear colourful bracelets, I used to make these when I was little with my bracelet making kits (I'm sure a lot of you have these too!)

I can't even remember where I got these from but I love teaming a dark outfit with colourful accessories, it gives an extra pop of colour.

John Lewis do a similar type of design for £10 -

I hope you enjoyed this post, it was a bit of a random one today but I like sharing with you my favourite things to wear instead of going out and buying lots of new things. My bank balance probably can't take anymore haha!

  2. The New Look bracelet looks so cute! I wouldn't normally wear that kind of thing but I like the vintage look of it.

    1. Aww thank you! I know what you mean, especially from somewhere like New Look where the gold can look a bit tacky. But this bracelet has a nice vintage look to it xx
